They only provide limiting voltage (inrush current flow through the power supply lightning protector, the maximum voltage appearing on the line is called limiting voltage) for the medium level of protection, because CLASS I protectors are mainly absorbed by large surge currents, they alone can not fully protect the power supply system inside the sensitive power equipment.
The first level of power supply lightning protector can prevent 10/350μs, 100KA lightning wave, to the highest protection standards specified by IEC. Its technical reference is: lightning flux greater than or equal to 100KA (10/350μs); residual voltage value is not greater than 2.5KV; response time is less than or equal to 100ns.
